Western efforts to silence speech are accelerating & it affects all of us. First TikTok, now with Discord age verification being a front for surveillance. At a time where social media is less social than ever, I'm thinking of ways to host my tunes & maintain an independent community for FIBRE fans not reliant on corporations with zero incentive to protect people. I'll still be on socials (for now), but relying on corporate platforms when the plug could be pulled any time is risky.
